The Nitecore EDC17 is a very versatile rechargeable flashlight equipped with powerful white light, UV light and a green laser pointer. According to the manufacturer, the flashlight produces up to 1500 lumens of light output, which is not a given for a flashlight of this size. The EDC17 is only 12 cm long and its flat body is less than 2 cm thick, so it is indeed an individual with an excellent size-to-power ratio. The white light forms a precise and rich combined light beam, the brighter spot in the middle of which carries up to 230 meters, while the abundant diffuse light spreading around the spot softly illuminates the nearby area. UV light can be used, for example, for cleaning, checking money or examining documents and documents, and it can also be used to check the skin and ears of pets for infections or ticks. The UV light has an output of 1350 mW. The green laser pointer is also suitable for entertaining pets, but of course it also makes this light a perfect assistant in the workplace, as it allows you to safely and clearly point at distant objects with ease. So the EDC17 is the perfect lamp for both home and workplace!

The lamp has one push switch and one slide switch, which makes it easy to operate all its functions without having to look at the lamp to change the power mode or operating modes. All functions (white light, UV light and laser) can be used separately, and in addition, the laser and white light can be used simultaneously. At the back of the lamp is an impact tip made of extremely durable and lightweight silicon nitride ceramic, which can be used to break, for example, a window in an emergency, so this lamp serves as an emergency backup in a wide variety of situations.

The EDC17 is powered by a built-in 1500 mAh li-ion battery, which currently offers a continuous operating time of up to 10 days at a time (in the lowest Ultralow power mode). When the battery runs out, it can be easily charged via the USB-C charging port integrated into the lamp using the included charging cable. The lamp's impact-resistant body is made of stainless steel, the surface of which is finished with a PVD coating that prevents scratches, wear and fading. In addition, the lamp is waterproof according to its IPX7 rating, so it can withstand year-round weather conditions without any problems.
