Plastic handles have something to offer. When developing the handles of their knives, the technicians of the VICTORINOX company kept in mind the proverb "
there is no man in the world who can please all men". The lack of slip resistance of plastic handles of kitchen and butcher knives has always been one of the first 
shortcomings, which were objected to not only by butchers, but also by the occupational safety authorities, and it is precisely here that the VICTORINOX company 
succeeded in a truly pioneering act. 
After a long period of testing in slaughterhouses and butcher shops, a new type of plastic handle called FIBROX was developed (and designated as optimal); 
thanks to the fibrous structure of the surface, excellent safety was achieved when gripping the knife with a wet or greasy hand.

The second, no less difficult task was the ergonomic problem, because the knife must "sit" comfortably in the butcher's hand even after several hours of work. 
Fatigue of the fingers and hand joints used to be a frequent cause of accidents and this had to be prevented. 
And so the FIBROX handle was developed and improved according to the latest ergonomic knowledge. After thorough tests, the optimal solution was found here too.

It goes without saying that VICTORINOX - FIBROX knives have the ability to retain their edge for a long time with minimal risk of it breaking off, thanks to the first-class 
quality of the steel and its hardness.

Another important factor that could not be forgotten was the possibility of sterilizing the knife. All experts working in the butchering industry know that the health and 
safety authorities pay particular attention to this feature of knives. All FIBROX knives can be sterilized at a temperature of 150 oC without the risk of damaging the handles.
