Opinel N°08 SAMPO 002546 folding pocket knife in limited edition with Finnish wood handle. In Scandinavian mythology, 
Sampo is a magical object that brings wealth to those who own it. However, no one knows exactly what this object looks like.

The blade with a smooth edge is made of 12C27 stainless steel with a mirror polished finish. 
In the open or closed position, the blade is secured with a Virobloc safety ring.

The handle is made of sustainably sourced birch wood from Finland. 
Karelian birch grows in the northern countries and comes from the Karelia region of Finland. 
Due to the extreme growing conditions, the layers of soft and hard wood develop unevenly, creating characteristic swirling, marbled patterns in the wood. 
This makes each knife handle unique.

The knife comes in a gift box.
