KMFS SENSEI Sharpening System

The KMFS SENSEI is a completely new sharpening system designed for precise, fully controlled manual knife sharpening. It allows easy, intuitive operation while delivering repeatable, professional-level results with minimal preparation time.

Developed and manufactured entirely in the Czech Republic, the KMFS SENSEI uses a patented reverse kinematics system. Thanks to this design, the stone moves instead of the knife, ensuring that the sharpening angle remains constant along the entire blade, regardless of blade length or stone thickness.

The knife is clamped in a stainless steel stabilization cradle and adjusted using a kinematic angle wheel, allowing ideal sharpening on both thin and thick stones, as well as when sharpening the tip. The system supports precise angle adjustment on both sides independently.

The sharpening system offers five standard sharpening angles: 15°, 17.5°, 20°, 22.5°, and 25°. These angles are precisely maintained across the entire blade length. The advanced reverse kinematics design ensures consistent sharpening even when switching between stones of different thicknesses.

Magnetic blade fixation provides fast, secure, and repeatable clamping. Magnets ensure stable blade positioning while also protecting the blade surface from damage.

Sharpening movement is extremely smooth and stable. The system operates with minimal vibration and very low friction thanks to a combination of four fully enclosed linear bearings and three ball bearings mounted on two rotating shafts.

The KMFS SENSEI supports sharpening with KMFS stones and most other stones available on the market. No constant readjustment is required when changing stones, including diamond stones, water stones, or stones with different thicknesses. Maximum supported blade length is 225 mm.
